軌道平車(chē)是一種電動(dòng)有軌廠內(nèi)運(yùn)輸車(chē)輛，解決廠內(nèi)跨度之間的產(chǎn)品運(yùn)輸。又稱(chēng)過(guò)跨平車(chē)、臺(tái)車(chē)、電動(dòng)平車(chē)。它具有結(jié)構(gòu)簡(jiǎn)單、使用方便、容易維護(hù)、承載能力大、污染少等優(yōu)點(diǎn)。廣泛用于機(jī)器制造和冶金工廠，作為車(chē)間內(nèi)部配合吊車(chē)運(yùn)輸重物過(guò)跨之用，根據(jù)供電方式的不同又可分為拖纜線供電軌道平車(chē)、電纜卷筒供電軌道平車(chē)、蓄電池供電軌道平車(chē)等。

電纜的一端接在地面電源上，經(jīng)過(guò)電纜滑車(chē)、牽引鋼絲繩引入控制箱，再給平車(chē)上YZ電機(jī)提供電力，來(lái)拖動(dòng)平車(chē)運(yùn)行。但運(yùn)行距離不能太長(zhǎng)，一般不能超過(guò)50m，太長(zhǎng)容易纏繞電纜。由于起動(dòng)時(shí)流經(jīng)軌道的起動(dòng)電流非常大（達(dá)1000A），此時(shí)軌道末端有很大的電壓降，造成單相電容電機(jī)起動(dòng)困難，故平車(chē)載重噸位為50噸，載重50噸以上時(shí)采用三相36V低壓軌道供電，起重冶金用電機(jī)。

以卷筒形式收放電纜線，380V交流電供電，電纜卷筒為磁滯耦合式，確保電纜受力均勻不易拉壞。交流380V給平車(chē)，用交流電機(jī)提供電力，電機(jī)拖動(dòng)平車(chē)運(yùn)行。平車(chē)運(yùn)行時(shí)電纜卷筒自動(dòng)將電纜卷起或放出，受卷線筒供電長(zhǎng)度影響，一般運(yùn)行距離小于200m。
